Four organizations funded $2.85 million for medication unit expansion

The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), in partnership with The Center at Sierra Health Foundation, announces the funding of $2.85 million in grants to four organizations for the expansion of Medication Units across the state.  This includes efforts to increase crucial access to medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) for rural areas, people who have been arrested or incarcerated, Indigenous and Native communities, patients without transportation, and areas places that lack a nearby Narcotic Treatment Program (NTP).
